About This Installation

We see the river, running through the heart of Lansing as a resource to be treasured and protected. Our project "Fish Out Of Water '' is a nod to the beauty of the river and the nature found along its banks, but also the unseen, that we don't always see, unless we get under the surface of the water.

We are proposing bringing a school of fish out of the water, to swim in the wind, with our kinetic wind sculpture Fish Out Of Water. The project consists of 15 brightly colored aluminum metal fish, attached to and pivoting on steel metal rods, using the power of the wind to pivot the fish sculptures individually and together, as if they were a school of fish under water.
