About This Installation

My work for ArtPath seeks to highlight our state’s unique geographic features, from it’s mitten-shape, to our fresh water lakes. I take a lot of pride in the fact that Michigan is one of the only states that can be distinctly seen from space! The picture includes imaginative, sci-fi elements like robots, satellites and young Michigander astronauts, looking back on their home. My hope with this mural is that it inspires viewers to feel this similar pride, while also contemplating our connection to the rest of the world.
