Elizabeth Charles Emerging Artist Scholarship Fund
Elizabeth Charles Emerging Artist Scholarship
Elizabeth Charles believed in the arts as a vehicle for self expression and as a means to develop a deeper understanding of our humanity. As a student, Elizabeth actively championed human equity and diversity. In 2020, the Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center and Elizabeth's father, Norm Charles, established the fund in her honor. Initial funding has been provided by Norm Charles and Phyllis Mellon, as well as additional funders who seek to continue her championship by supporting emerging Michigan artists and amplifying their voices through monetary award and promotions.

Erin Warmels Scholarship Fund
The Erin Warmels Scholarship Fund was created in 2016 in memory of Erin Warmels, a former Lansing Art Gallery exhibiting artist. Erin’s experience included education at Kendall College of Art and Design, as well as exhibiting in the greater Lansing area. Lansing Art Gallery provides scholarships for students in need to cover the costs of classes, camps, supplies, and application fees. Additionally, merit scholarships are provided for Art Scholarship Alert and the Michigan Collegiate Art Exhibition.
Funds generated from the Erin Warmels Scholarship Fund will provide visual arts experiences, supplies, and awards. Your tax-deductible contribution will:
•Support the arts in our community. Continuing the tradition of excellence established over decades of community investment, your gift will help fulfill our mission.
•Help artists grow. Your gift will help Lansing Art Gallery and Education Center offer additional opportunities for Michigan artists.
•Support Michigan artists. Please give today to sustain the gallery’s generations to come. Whether $1 or $1,000, your gift will support visual arts education.
