Why Become a Member?
An annual membership with Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center gives you an insider’s experience to Michigan-made art and educational opportunities.
There are many perks to becoming a member with Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center, including:
• Having your name published in the Gallery's Annual Report
• Getting the inside scoop on news about the Gallery through the gallery’s e-newsletter, as well as invitations to all of our exhibition openings, and tickets to select events
• Members receive a 10% off discount on all purchases made at the Gallery and receive exclusive discounts on classes and workshops
• Exhibiting member artists receive a reduced commission rate on all artwork sales, and the opportunity to be featured in our newsletter as well as on social media
• Members gain insight into the artist’s process and inspiration via our new Insider’s Series of artist talks
• Members will have the opportunity to meet with the Director quarterly at the gallery to discuss various arts and cultural topics over tea as part of our new "Tea with the Director!" program
• Members will also receive the opportunity for one thirty-minute consultation annually with either the Exhibitions and Gallery Sales Director or the Education Director
• NEW! We are a part of the ROAM program which offers reciprocal membership to other regional, national and international cultural organizations that participate. You can learn more about which organizations participate on the ROAM website.
How do I become a Member?
Modern technology has made becoming a member with Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center easier than ever. Once there you will be asked to select the membership level that works best for you as well as create an account log in, allowing you to check on your membership status and history in the future. Open Studio Days! Whether you're an experienced artist or a curious beginner, this event is designed to ignite your passion for art, spark your imagination, and foster a sense of community among art enthusiasts of all levels.
ROAM: Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) was created in February of 2013 to fill a need among museums and their Members, a free reciprocal network that connects world-class institutions for the benefit of our Members. Governed by a volunteer board of Museum Membership professionals, ROAM is built to work for everyone—museums of all sizes and types.
